Top 10 Colourful Wedding Photographs 2019

It’s the time of the year where we all start looking back at everything that’s happened in 2019. For me, this year has gone faster than any other and I find it hard to believe we will be hurtling into a new decade so soon!

My big ‘Best of 2019’ blog post will be coming up shortly, but for now here’s a quick reflection on my top 10 most visited blog posts of 2019 (according to Google Analytics!) I know it’s a little misleading to call this post ‘Top 10 Colourful Wedding Photographs 2019’, but it’s more catchy right? And all these blog posts have colourful wedding photography in common.

I have blogged most of my weddings straight away this year and thanks to my couples kindly sharing my posts with friends, I’ve had lots of new visitors to my website. Some of my most popular content is older than this year, proving that visitors to my website love re-visiting weddings that inspire them. It’s also great to see that Best Wedding Photography 2018 made the cut.

My wedding photography pops up in so many different places. You can find me on Instagram and Facebook, so no doubt I will be doing more ‘most popular’ posts on my different social media channels. Look out for those over the festive season for something to read as you’re pouring yourself another Bailey’s or finishing off a chocolate orange!

Without further ado stats fans, here are my most-visited blogs of 2019!

  1. Albert Hall Manchester Wedding Photography

Albert Hall Manchester Wedding PhotosThe most-visited blog post of this year was Lily & Tom’s wedding at Albert Hall. This Manchester wedding venue had been on my bucket list for ages, so I was super excited to shoot Lily & Tom’s wedding there in April! It was an incredible action-packed big day with so much fun and laughter, plus lots of surprises for the guests. Albert Hall was everything I had dreamed of. There were so many great spots for photographs I was spoilt for choice!

You can also check out Lily & Tom’s video by my mate Jo Gendle.

2. Colourful Marquee Wedding

Colourful Marquee Wedding PhotographySioned & Mathew had a gorgeous wedding in the heart of the Welsh countryside. After getting wed in a little chapel, they held their reception at home and it was so colourful and fun! Their wedding featured beautiful florals created by Sioned’s sister, so if you’re into green, leafy foliage make sure you check out their blog post.

3. Wedding Photography Cheshire

Wedding Photography CheshireThis blog post featured another wedding reception held at home. Charly & Tom were married at St. Wilfred’s in Mobberley and then had their reception in a lovely yurt at the bottom of the garden. Their wedding in Cheshire was a very stylish big day and I absolutely loved Charly’s dress made by Emma Beaumont. Hosting weddings at home has become so popular with my couples. It’s a great way to be able to have your wedding just as you want it!

The above image of Charly has been shortlisted in wedding category of the British Photography Awards and you can vote for me to win the people choice award here.

4. Chethams Wedding Photography

Chethams Wedding PhotographyChethams Library in Manchester was another new venue for me. It was a real treat to shoot Dani & Jimmy’s wedding there in October. I especially enjoyed shooting their first look in Chethams Library just before they got married. All the old books looked (and smelled!) fantastic. Jimmy & Dani had chosen a Harry Potter theme that went perfectly with their choice of venue too. They held their reception at King Street Townhouse.

5. Rivington Barn Wedding Photography

Rivington Barn Wedding PhotographyOver to Lancashire now to Rivington Hall Barn which is great old venue set in the countryside. Layna & Ian’s wedding was colourful and fun (a theme of many of my weddings!) featuring gorgeous sunflowers and ice-cream for all the guests. A top day and great to be back with Layna’s family after shooting her sister’s wedding a few years back!

6. Oak Tree of Peover Wedding Photography

Oak Tree of Peover Wedding PhotographyRyan & Natalie’s big day was another Cheshire wedding with oodles of style. I loved shooting their ceremony and reception in the bright and airy surroundings of The Oak Tree of Peover. The partying at this wedding went on right into the night. Look out for Natalie with a cigar at the end of the blog!

7. Plas Dinam Wedding Photography

Plas Dinam Wedding PhotographyComing in at number 7 is Jenny & Stephen’s big day at Plas Dinam Country House. This 2018 wedding is still popular with visitors to my website thanks to a feature on wedding blog One Fab Day this year. Ste & Jenny planned such a fun time for their guests, with the pancake van being one of my favourite things! Plas Dinam is one of my top venues ever and I’m pleased to say I will be back for weddings there next year.

8. Best Wedding Photography 2018

Quirky Wedding Photography Victoria WarehouseMy best wedding photography from last year was a top-viewed blog post well into 2019. I’ve shared this post a lot as it’s a great way to showcase what I do. All the images are natural and colourful with so many happy faces! This image from Kara & Andie’s Victoria Warehouse Wedding Photographs never fails to put a smile on my face. It was an award-winning photograph for me, scooping a Photographers Keeping it Real award at the end of 2018. Keep on dancing!

9. Ashfield House Wedding Photography

Ashfield House Wedding PhotographyOphelia & Matt’s wedding has barely left my editing screen and has jumped straight into the top 10! Their winter wedding at Ashfield House took place at the end of November. It was fabulously cosy affair on the most gorgeous crisp winter’s day. Check out Ophelia’s amazing dress by Jessica Bennett.

10. Stock Farm Wedding Barn Photographs

Stock Farm Wedding Barn PhotographsThis is another post from 2018 that had a lasting appeal with visitors to my website. The boho styling and colourful wedding photography from Courtney & Ste’s big day was so popular it was featured on Boho Weddings. Just look at that amazing sunset!
