Colourful Marquee Wedding Photography
Last weekend, I joined Sioned & Matthew for their wedding in North Wales. It was a absolutely lovely day and I’m so pleased to share their colourful marquee wedding photography with you today. Sioned & Mathew wanted to have a relaxed day and a big knees up with their friends and family. So they did things a little differently and held their wedding reception at home. Their day had such a fun atmosphere and I think their wedding photos will be great inspiration if you’re planning to do your day DIY.
Mathew & Sioned were married at Capel Bro Tegla in Llandelga. This cute little chapel is a stones throw from Sioned’s family home. Meaning all the bridesmaids could get ready there before walking over to the ceremony. Sioned is blessed with a make-up-artist sister and a hairdresser friend, who did such a great job getting the girls ready. The bridesmaids looked lovely in green and Sioned looked stunning in her dress. It was the perfect boho choice for the occasion. After the ceremony, we took a detour to Moel Famau. This local beauty spot has gorgeous views over the valley and was the perfect place for some portraits of Sioned & Mathew.
Marquee Wedding in North Wales
Many of my couples choose to go DIY and do their weddings themselves. It’s a lot of hard work, but I think it always looks great and is so worth it in the end! Sioned & Mathew hosted their wedding reception in a marquee at their home. With beautiful views of the countryside, this was the ideal spot for their guests to relax and party into the night! So much effort had gone into all the details that made the marquee beautiful. Sioned’s sister Ang had done an incredible job with all the flowers. She had designed floral hoops to adorn the roof of the marquee and the tables were decorated with row upon row of greenery in glass bottles. The green bouquets looked amazing and were such a simple but stunning choice for this boho day.
There was also so much for the guests to enjoy at Sioned & Mathew’s reception. The carnival games went down a storm with the guests, whatever their age! The reception also featured popcorn and candy floss, and an alternative wedding breakfast of different street foods, making Mathew & Sioned’s wedding filled with all the fun of the fair! With the relaxed atmosphere and a warm evening ahead, I can imagine the party carried on way into the early hours!
Congratulations Sioned & Mathew and thank you for having us! And shout out to Neil Parry for being an awesome second shooter.
