Ashfield House Wedding Photography
I had the pleasure of joining Ophelia & Matt for their wedding at Ashfield House at the weekend. It was a beautiful crisp winter’s day with frost on the ground and gorgeous low sunshine coming through the trees. Ashfield House was all dressed up ready for Christmas and provided a cosy haven from the chilly weather outside. All the guests had a wonderful time celebrating with Ophelia & Matt and getting into the festive cheer!
My day began getting ready with Ophelia and her bridesmaids, whilst my second shooter Imogen was with Matt and his crew. Ophelia & her bridesmaids were so excited for the day ahead, especially as it was so lovely and sunny outside! None of the bridesmaids had seen Ophelia’s custom-made dress by Jessica Bennett, so it was great to see all their happy faces when it came to the big reveal! Ophelia’s dress was truly stunning and the perfect choice for a winter wedding with the long sleeves and train. Ophelia looked amazing as she walked down the stairs ready to marry Matt!
Winter Wedding
Matt & Ophelia’s wedding ceremony was held downstairs against the backdrop of twinkly fairy lights. The happy couple were pronounced husband and wife and walked down the aisle to cheers, before heading straight outside for a good old pelting of confetti! The golden hour that day was just beautiful and Imogen and I were loving it! It was great to use the gorgeous low winter light for portraits with Matt & Ophelia as the sun came down.
It wasn’t long before we all needed to warm up indoors for the meal and speeches… The guests were treated to tasty food including a doughnut wall for the evening reception, yum! And since no winter wedding would be complete without a sparkler moment, we got the guests out into the cold one last time for some shots!
Congratulations Ophelia & Matt and thank you for having Imogen and I along!
