Castlefield Rooms Wedding Photography
A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of joining Amira & Malc at their wedding in Manchester. I’m very pleased to share more of their Castlefield Rooms wedding photography with you today!
Malc & Amira chose the Castlefield Rooms in Manchester for their ceremony and reception. This venue provided a great urban location for their guests, who had travelled from far and wide to join them in celebrating their marriage. What better way to enjoy a Manchester wedding than spending the big day amongst the urban architecture of Castlefield.
I joined Amira and her bridal party at the cottage overlooking the canal for their preparations. Amira is the youngest of several sisters, so as you can image there was lots happening during this part of the day! Amira looked stunning her dress from Jean Jackson Couture and I also loved her choice of bouquet from Venus Flowers. The pastel shades and cotton in the bouquets was beautiful and also a nod to the Manchester location. I couldn’t resist using the wisteria at the cottage for portraits – the strong purple colour looked fantastic!

When it was time to say the ‘I dos’, we did a short dash under brollies to the Castlefield Rooms. The ceremony was decorated with impressive florals that made the setting so colourful for a Spring wedding. Once Malc & Amira had made their promises to each other, they walked out to cheers and confetti (and judging by the pictures, some guests were pretty determined to get some of it in poor Malc’s eye!)
After the ceremony, the guests enjoyed pimping their prosecco whilst chatting on the Dukes 92 terrace. Meanwhile, I whisked away the family for group shots and kept Malc & Amira behind for a few portraits on their own. The area around the Castlefield Rooms is simply a photographers dream! I adore shooting portraits in the area because of the mix of architecture and the soft light. The railway bridges are so impressive and I love the texture of the brickwork.
Once we were back in the Castlefield Rooms, Amira and Malc kicked off their evening reception with alternative choice of first dance; Alt J’s Something Good, before everyone was invited up to join in the fun!
Congratulations Malc and Amira and thank you for having me along to celebrate with you!
Castlefield Rooms Manchester Wedding
If you’re looking for an informal wedding venue in Manchester, I think the Castlefield Rooms is hard to beat! The Castlefield Rooms is part of the stylish Dukes 92 building. The venue is located in the heart of Manchester’s Deansgate area. This makes it the perfect setting for an urban wedding with a relaxed atmosphere. Castlefield is one of my all-time favourite locations for portraits. You will often see me doing a Manchester engagement shoot there. I think it’s the perfect area for cool wedding photography of your big day. It also has the added bonus of being under cover in case the famous Manchester rain makes an appearance!
