What to expect from your wedding photographer

Ready to chat?

If you like what you see on my website, I’d love to hear more about your wedding plans. Fill out a few details about your big day and I’ll ping you over a shiny brochure.

Let’s meet up

The next step is to arrange a free consultation to discuss your plans over Zoom. I’ll  talk you through my photography packages and you can ask me any questions you might have. You might even get a cat cameo!

The next step is to arrange a free consultation to discuss your plans over coffee or a glass of wine. I’ll bring my work along, talk you through my photography packages and you can ask me any questions you might have. If you’re too far away to meet in person, we can arrange a FaceTime (you might even spot one of my cats in the background!)

Ready to go

Want to get booked in? I’ll ask you to fill out some paperwork and pay a 30% booking fee to secure your date. Then I’m all yours! (Please note I can’t save your date until the booking fee is paid.)

The big day!

It’s here! Time for you to enjoy every minute, knowing I’ll be getting stuck into what’s happening and documenting those happy moments. When you’re getting ready, saying your vows and busting moves on the dance floor, you won’t really know I’m there. I do my best to blend in with your guests and take un-posed, real images that capture the day just the way it is.

The candid images are complimented by relaxed and informal portraits of you both. Camera shy? I don’t think I’ve met many couples that would say they enjoy having their photo taken, so I do my best to put you totally at ease during this bit. Think of it as a time to yourselves to enjoy away from the hustle and bustle.

If you would like some group shots of your family and friends, that’s no problem. I do them as efficiently as possible, so you can get back to enjoying yourselves. And I also take shots of all those little details you’ve worked hard on.

Sharing is Caring

To keep the wedding excitement going, I’ll get some preview photos ready for you within a week of your wedding. I often share images on my Facebook and Instagram ready for you to tag yourselves and share with your friends. If you’d rather opt-out of sharing, that’s ok, I always check before I post.

The big edit

My signature editing style is applied to your images and then the colour and exposure is corrected on each one for consistency. I do a small amount of retouching, so you look your best (big spot on nose begone!) At this stage, your images are backed up in 3 different locations (including cloud storage) to make sure they are safe. The turnaround for image delivery is up to 8 weeks in peak season, often less in the winter months.

Your images are ready!

The exciting part! I’ll send you a password for your online gallery, from which you can download all your high-resolution images. Feel free to pass on your login details to your guests to they can access your pictures too. Once you’ve downloaded your images, you can print them and share them as much as you would like. You can also order prints direct from here too.
