Today on the blog, The Mill Barns wedding photos from Emma & Alex’s wedding last week! Well, this was one amazing day that all of the photo and video team enjoyed! There was so much laughter, joy and emotion to capture.
The day began with preparations with Emma’s crew at The Mill Barns at Alveley. I absolutely loved Emma’s dress that her step-mum had made. It was totally gorgeous and had a modern and simple feel which suited Emma down to a tee. It was no surprise that there was so much emotion in the room when the bridesmaids saw Emma in her dress for the first time!
There were also big feels as Emma & her dad walked down the aisle to meet Alex for the ceremony. And once they were married, it was so lovely to see Emma & Alex taking their time walking down the aisle and stopping to hug grandma.
One of the highlights of the day (from a photography point of view) was a little trip away from The Mill Barns to a field nearby… The light was so beautiful and it was a total pleasure to capture some relaxed portraits of this lovely couple away from the busyness of a wedding day.
Back to the wedding and the dance floor… I don’t think I’ve ever seen such an enthusiastic rendition of I Wanna Dance With Somebody as the one by Emma & her sister Holly! It was fantastic! I trust that these lot were busting moves into the early hours whilst we were on the M6 back up to Manchester.
Although The Mill Barns is located in Shropshire, this was a real Manchester team-effort. I had my second shooter Imogen helping me out all day with fantastic shots, Bruce from Lovetwofilm joined us on videographer duty and my favourite florist Sian from The Flower Lounge provided the gorgeous blooms. Thanks to them for making the day extra special and of course, big thanks to Emma & Alex for having us along to celebrate with them!
The Mill Barns Wedding Photos
I hope you’ve enjoyed looking at Emma & Alex’s The Mill Barns wedding photos as much as I enjoyed taking them! It was a pleasure to be at this venue for the first time. It’s only been open for a year and is therefore looking sparkling new. As a purpose-built wedding venue in Shropshire, it has everything you need for a great day a is a lovely looking place. My second shooter Imogen said she found the water around the venue very relaxing, almost like you’re at the spa!
