Today on the blog, I’ve got some Eyam Hall wedding photographs to share with you from Katie & Paul’s big day. These two were married last summer at gorgeous National Trust property Eyam Hall. Paul & Katie had planned a fun and relaxed day in the Peak District countryside. Even though the brollies were up, the weather didn’t affect the guests’ desire to party and everyone had a brilliant time! Katie & Paul are the living proof that you can have a lovely time even if it rains on your wedding day.
Katie & Paul’s ceremony took place in the beautiful grounds of Eyam Hall. There was a real sense of anticipation and excitement as the guests put up their brollies and waited for Katie & the girls to walk down the aisle. Katie & Paul said their vows in the rain and it made it such a memorable moment. These two had huge smiles on their faces as they walked down the aisle as husband and wife! Their joy was just infectious!
I loved all the little fun touches that went into Katie & Paul’s day. There was a nod to the Disney film Up with the grape soda pins on Paul’s suit and Katie’s bouquet. They had used family photos, bunting and colourful flowers to decorate the marquee in a vintage countryside style. It was great to be at Eyam Hall for the first time and use the grounds for photographs. My favourite place was the greenhouse which was filled with beautiful light for Katie & Paul’s portraits. I was such a fan of the location, I brought the bridesmaids and groomsmen back for more photographs later in the day and it was such fun!
Here’s what these Katie & Paul had to say about their photographs; “When we began planning our wedding I immediately thought of Cass. I had seen Cass’ work at a friend’s wedding and she’d captured their day so perfectly, I knew she was the right choice for us. We couldn’t be happier with the service we have received from Cass; she has been phenomenal. Our first meeting with her in Manchester was very informal and relaxed and she provided us with some great advice and even brought samples of photographs from my friend’s wedding, illustrating the personal connection she develops with the people she works with.
On the day itself, Cass arrived early to photograph the wedding preparations. She was so sociable and really helped to create a lovely, relaxed atmosphere. It was a great start to a wonderful day and Cass captured every aspect perfectly despite the heavens opening during the ceremony. She made great use of the beautiful surroundings at Eyam Hall and has managed to produce some lovely, creative photographs that didn’t look like we were in the midst of a late July monsoon! The most difficult thing has been narrowing down our favourites for the album.
Both me and my husband are a bit awkward in front of the camera but Cass made us feel very relaxed and she created some wonderful photographs that really do encapsulate our relationship and the perfect day we had. Out of every service we hired for the wedding, the one that all of our family and friends have commented on is Cass. Everyone agreed that she felt more like a guest at the wedding than a photographer and once we’d received our wedding photos a lot of the guests commented on her ninja-like skills of capturing candid moments without anyone realising.
We would definitely recommend Cass to anyone looking for a friendly and highly skilled photographer who would be a great addition to any wedding or event,”
Thank you so much for your kind words Katie & Paul! Congratulations to you both and I’m so pleased you love your photos!
