Personal Branding Photography Manchester
Personal branding photography is a way to showcase your brand to the fullest and take your visual content to the next level.
Since there is a world of choice available when users search Google or scroll through social media, professionally shot photographs set you apart from the rest. Great imagery makes your brand stand out and shows potential clients that you mean business.
Small independent brands thrive by creating emotional connections and forging personal relationships. Personal branding photographs help you to connect with potential customers by showcasing your personality. After all, nobody is quite like you!
What is Personal Branding Photography?
Personal branding photography is very simple: it’s photography for your business that showcases your personality. Your personal branding imagery is all about you and your unique selling points, because you are your brand. Forget dry corporate headshots and think imagery that communicates your creativity, friendliness, strength, enthusiasm and so much more… all those great qualities that make your clients and followers want to do business with you. Think creative, not corporate!
What are Personal Branding Images Used For?
Your website can be all-singing, all-dancing, but if it lacks professional photographs it can put potential customers off. You only have a few seconds to keep a user on your website. Impactful, eye-catching personal branding images are the way to make them stick around to find out more. Using relevant, consistent, professional personal branding photos on your website will allow you to capture the attention of a visitor, communicate vital information about what you do and always stay on-brand.
Did you know photos get 94% more views than text-only social media posts*?! With stats like that, the power of sharing photographs on your Facebook, Instagram and Twitter cannot be ignored. Instagram in particular has shown incredible growth over the past 2 years. The photo-sharing platform has over 1 billion active users, a whopping 83% of which say they discover new products and services on Instagram*. You can imagine the impact fresh, colourful personal branding photographs could have on your feed!
Print brochures/flyers/business cards/loyalty cards…
Personal branding photography is mainly aimed at increasing your profile in the digital world, however it has its uses in print media too! You can use personal branding imagery to liven up your brochures, print advertising, business cards or loyalty cards. The list is endless!

Personal Branding Shoot FAQ
What happens before my personal branding shoot?
When you first get in touch, I’ll ask for your website and social media links so I can understand your story and what you do. I’ll also chat with you to determine what sort of images will work best for your brand. You’re also welcome to send me your Pinterest boards! If you are in the process of having a re-brand or a website design, I may also talk with your designer to find out more. I will then confirm prices and arrange a convenient time for your shoot at your place of business or another location of your choice.
What can I expect from my branding shoot?
On the day of the shoot, I will walk you through my suggested shot list. All you have to do is relax and smile! Don’t worry if you are camera shy; many people I work with are nervous at first. I’ll soon put you at ease and you’ll be posing like a pro.
What should I wear to my personal branding shoot?
It’s important to wear something that makes you feel comfortable and confident. Colourful clothing works well as it can make images pop, as does showing off your personality with a favourite accessory. At the same time, consider your surroundings and wear something that won’t clash with the paint job in the office! You will have the opportunity to have an outfit change during a personal branding shoot. You can start in a logo branded t-shirt and then change into a more informal outfit, for example.
What should I bring to my branding shoot?
It’s useful to have relevant props available that show customers what you do, such as your sketch book, laptop, tools etc. If you sell products, you may want to have some sample stock to hand. If the shoot is happening in your place of business or home, make sure it’s looking at its best and is clean and tidy. Some fresh flowers or a few houseplants can do wonders to brighten things up!
What will I receive after my branding shoot?
You can expect to receive around 40 varied images from a two-hour personal branding shoot. These will be professionally edited in my colourful signature style and lightly re-touched (e.g spots removed!) I will provide the images in high-resolution format for print and low-resolution format specially sized for social media via a Dropbox link. You will receive an extended license to use your pictures as you choose, in exchange for credit on social media. If you do not wish to credit me on social media, extended licenses can be purchased for a one-off fee of £200.
