West Tower Wedding Photographer: Rachel & Jordan

By 25/09/2019 No Comments

At the weekend, I joined Rachel & Jordan as their West Tower wedding photographer for their big day at North West wedding venue West Tower. This 18th century country house is nestled in the Lancashire countryside and provided the perfect relaxed setting for Rachel & Jordan’s big day. The rolling expanse of fields next to West Tower was a beautiful view to look upon during the outdoor ceremony and reception. It was pleasure to shoot natural wedding photography for this lovely couple in this gorgeous setting!

The day began when Rachel and her family arrived at West Tower in a vintage bus. Rachel had got ready at her parents’ home before finishing off preparations in the gorgeous bridal suite. To put any guests off the scent and keep them guessing about her wedding dress, Rachel arrived wearing what became known as her ‘fake dress’! This meant we could explore the grounds of West Tower for some pictures with the family before Rachel got into her real gown, which was stunning!

Outdoor Wedding Ceremony

I absolutely love wedding venues with space for an outdoor ceremony. Rachel & Jordan had an outdoor ceremony at West Tower that was just beautiful. I just loved the colourful autumnal florals created by Laurie. The floral arch around the pagoda looked amazing and made the ceremony setting really pop. Rachel & Jordan were so happy walking down the aisle to loads of confetti in the autumnal sunshine!

The setting of West Tower was also fabulous for drinks after the ceremony. The guests chatted with friends with a beer in hand with the Lancashire countryside as the backdrop. What more could you want from a chilled wedding reception? Jordan even delivered his welcome speech to the guest outside since the weather was so glorious.

Rachel & Jordan love to ski and incorporated this into little details on the day. After dinner, they brought out the fabulous invention that is the shot-ski! I had never seen this at a wedding before and it went down a storm with the guest. Scroll down to see pictures of the shot-ski in action – even Nana had a go!
