It was my first time shooting Stockport Plaza Wedding Photography at Rebecca & John’s big day. I had an absolute blast! When you plan your wedding in a beautiful Art Deco cinema, you really have to embrace the Old Hollywood theme. And that’s exactly what Rebecca & John did. Rebecca looked stunning in beaded 1920s style gown, complete with vintage style hair and make-up. The vintage cinema touches didn’t end there; Rebecca & John had decorated the Plaza with old movie posters, gramophones and had given out tickets to their guests. They even had an geometric Art Deco cake!
Rebecca & John were married on stage and chose a personal ceremony led by Cate Baines. I really love the pictures from the ceremony as they are so different to to any other venue I’ve been to. Another one of my favourite moments was when were lucky enough to get a behind the scenes tour. My favourite portraits from the day are in the old projection room. As an added bonus, we were able to secretly watch the guests being entertained by vintage cartoons. Jo Gendle had made a silent movie especially for the day, with Rebecca & John in the leading roles. It went down brilliantly with all the guests!
