Sikh Fusion Wedding Photography
Did you see part one of Hannah & Sam’s celebrations on my blog? Their Pimhill Barn wedding photographs were so much fun shoot! I was delighted to be invited to the rest of their wedding days too. The upbeat atmosphere of their wedding at Pimhill Barn continued through the rest of the celebrations. It was such a pleasure to get to know Hannah & Sam and all the guests over several days.
First up was Hannah & Sam’s Sikh ceremony at Ealing Gurdwara. This was the first time I had documented a Sikh ceremony and I was excited to see how the day unfolded. I was also very pleased to find out that the day started with a veggie breakfast at the Gurdwara! It was a fantastic way to get informal pictures of the guests starting the day (and yummy too!) With all of the guests dressed so colourfully, it was a really beautiful ceremony. It was lovely to see the joy on everyone’s faces as Sam & Hannah were pronounced husband and wife.
After the ceremony (and more food – hoorah!) we drove to a local park for some portraits. Hannah & Sam looked amazing against the greenery of the park and very happy in the sunshine! The henna on Hannah’s hands looked gorgeous and made for stunning portraits of this special day.
On the following afternoon, I met Hannah & Sam as they were getting ready to celebrate at Lingfield Racecourse. This day was all about a HUGE party. Hannah & Sam walked in to greet their guests accompanied by traditional drummers before starting a set of amazing Punjabi music. The guests were treated to yummy Indian food and watched the the races before partying the night away. And yes, of course I was on the dance floor too!
What did Hannah & Sam have to about their photos… ‘We wouldn’t hesitate one moment in recommending Cass to any couple who want a fantastic wedding photographer! She really fitted in to all our weddings and was such a lovely presence,’ Hannah & Sam – thank you so much for inviting me to be a part of all your celebrations. I had an amazing time!
