On Saturday, I joined Hannah & Mike for their wedding at St James & St Paul Marton and Sandhole Oak Barn. It was a glorious early autumn day and as Hannah was getting ready with her bridesmaids, all the guests enjoyed mingling outside in the sunshine before heading to the church. St James & St Paul is just a stones throw from Sandhole Oak Barn and being a historic church that’s over 600 years old, it provided a beautiful setting for Mike & Hannah to tie the knot.
After the ceremony, Hannah & Mike were whisked back to Sandhole Oak Barn for their reception. They had chosen a table plan inspired by Friends and each table was named after a famous quote from the sitcom. It was a lot of fun to overhear guests acting out the quotes on their tables! Mike’s mum had made the fabulous green and white ombre cake too.
As it had been such a wonderful day, come the evening, we were treated to a spectacular sunset and then the first glimpse of the weekend’s super moon, which was very exciting! After taking some pictures by the lake, it was then onto the dancing! There were some serious dance moves going on!
Shout out to Jon from Red Seats Videography who was filming on the day – I can’t wait to see the film! And huge congratulations to Mike & Hannah. x
