Plas Dinam Wedding Photographs
Sarah & John were married on Saturday at stunning Welsh venue Plas Dinam. They had chosen this special place for their wedding celebrations as they wanted a relaxed day that their friends and family would enjoy. And their day was just that; very informal with no worries about rushing, excellent food and fun times.
Since the guests can stay at Plas Dinam for the whole weekend there was lots happening as soon as I arrived. The boys congregated in the billiards room and there was lots of activity as they pinned on their buttonholes. It was calmer upstairs with the girls as Sarah got into her beautiful dress and veil, helped by her bridesmaids and her mum. Sarah’s dad was so emotional when he came into the room, which was a really special moment.
The wedding ceremony took place inside the house and afterwards everyone was back out on the lawn enjoying a glass of fizz, music playing and views of the Welsh hills beyond Plas Dinam. The balloon release was a surprise for all the guests. For a moment I thought that Plas Dinam looked like the house in Up!
The reception was held in the Victorian stables, which was beautifully decorated. Sarah & John’s guests were treated to yummy food (including a crepe station!) before the dance floor got started. I’m sure the party went on into the night judging from this crowd!
I’m sure you can see from the pictures that it was a beautiful sunny day in the Welsh countryside. Once again I was lucky to have gorgeous golden hour light for portraits. I was one happy photographer!
