Maddy & Simon’s Indian Inspired Wedding | Vintage Wedding Photographer

Maddy & Simon were the lucky winners of my win your wedding photography competition that was featured on Under the Vintage Veil. Four couples were shortlisted to win the prize of my Full Day package and Maddy & Simon won when it came down to the public vote.

Their 1960s India inspired wedding took place at Bix and Assendon Village Hall in Henley on Thames. They chose a romantic outdoor ceremony on the green outside, with one of their friends conducting the ceremony and another friend playing a song for them on guitar. The reading in the ceremony was shouted out by different guests popping out of their chairs for their line!

Inside the village hall, Maddy & Simon had enlisted the help of Meryl from Home Grown Bride to decorate the venue with jewel coloured saris, flowers and Indian memorabilia, complete with a DIY ombre cake. After the ceremony, the guests enjoyed a hog roast and then danced the night away to some serious 90s tunes!
