Kate & Olly celebrate their 1st anniversary this week, so I thought it would be a great time to share their Losehill House Hotel wedding photographs. These two are a creative couple who met whilst working on a telly programme. I knew during the run up to their wedding to expect a creative feast for the eyes and the day did not disappoint. Plus, it was great fun to shoot too!
I’m a big fan of colourful wedding themes as I love colour in my wedding photography. Kate & Olly had put together a colourful day in both style and atmosphere at Losehill House Hotel and Spa in the Peak District. They had chosen rainbow blooms of wild flowers from Campbells Florists that were so beautiful. The flowers tied in with the colourful confetti and table centres featuring famous couples (think Homer & Marge, Del Boy & Rodney and Eddie & Patsy!) Spray painted gold animals and big balloons completed the styling. The reception looked ace and was fun and relaxed theme too.
Complimenting the relaxed style of the day, Olly & Kate had organised games and entertainment for their guests. The space hoppers were such a hit with the little people. It was a gorgeous day, so everyone was able to enjoy flying paper planes, playing badminton and generally running around enjoying the fresh Peak District air! What could be better?
Just before the evening dancing, we headed into the golden light for some portraits of Olly & Kate. I always try to shoot portraits at this time of day as it gives beautiful results. And as the best light was up the hill, up Olly & Kate went so we could get the shots – thanks guys, you are true professionals!
