Today on the blog, Sheena & Paul’s King Street Townhouse wedding photos from their big day last August. I can’t believe these two will be celebrating their 1st wedding anniversary soon. How time flies!
Sheena & Paul’s day was everything you could want from an urban wedding in Manchester. It was stylish, laid-back and fun, with a great party atmosphere! As a big fan of colour, I loved the colourful flowers and details Sheena & Paul had chosen for their day (as well as that cake!). It was my first full wedding day at King Street Townhouse and I thought the atmosphere and style of this venue was perfect for a city centre wedding.
I had a great time using the roof terrace at King Street Townhouse for photos, even though it was a typically Manchester windswept day! We had lots of fun with the bridesmaids and Sheena’s veil (which was constantly trying to escape!) Thanks to the hotel’s central location, we were also able to get out and about on the streets of Manchester for photos too. There was a wonderful sunset to round off the day, so we headed to the roof of King Street Townhouse to look over the Manchester skyline. The sky was a beautiful pink colour and it made for lovely pictures like the one above.
So what did Sheena & Paul have to say about their big day… “We both liked to think that we had a fairly laid back approach to planning our wedding. We tried to focus on what was important to us rather than what was expected of us, trying to remove the little stresses that wouldn’t add to our experience on the day. Because of that we wanted an informal photographer. Someone who could capture the mood and emotions on the day without the need to stand around for group shots.
We picked Cass because we immediately knew that she fit that bill. Right from the engagement shoot (I hate having my photo taken!) she made us both feel relaxed and comfortable with the camera. She was amazingly helpful the whole day, from helping my sister get me into my dress to reattaching my veil (multiple times) every time it was dislodged by the wind! Cass integrated herself seamlessly with our guests, capturing all the laughter of the day and those little moments you don’t always remember.”
