Hargate Hall Wedding Photographer

I’m very fortunate to have been a Hargate Hall wedding photographer many times now. Hargate Hall is a brilliant Derbyshire wedding venue. It has rustic appeal and a real party atmosphere! The family who run Hargate Hall are super lovely people. They always offer me a brew amongst all the craziness of a wedding day, which is so appreciated. So when Maddy & Emma’s wedding photography enquiry came through, coupled by their colourful ideas for their big day, I was sold!

One of the great things about Hargate Hall is that you hire the wedding venue for the whole weekend. (Weddings aren’t all about just one day!) There’s enough room in the house for your friends and family to stay over. This means that your guests can get to know each other and relax throughout the weekend. Which means a massive party come Saturday night!

Hargate Hall Wedding Ceremony

Myself and my second photographer Wing’s day started with Maddy & Emma’s preparations at Hargate Hall. The morning was a flurry of activity, with guests (and dogs!) arriving and finding their rooms. (Maddy & Emma made little welcome packs for their guests to get settled in their rooms, which was such a cute idea). Since Emma & Maddy got ready in adjoining rooms, I darted between the two of them and reported back to the other how it was going!

Emma & Maddy chose to have an outdoor ceremony at Hargate Hall. The beautiful Derbyshire countryside really lends itself to a ceremony backdrop. Our brides both walked down the aisle with their mums, which was so lovely. Maddy’s Dad provided the banter at the exchange of rings, delivering them on a beautifully embroidered hoop, which proved a little tricky for ring removal!

Colourful Wedding at Hargate Hall

Straight after the ceremony, Emma & Maddy’s sausage dogs made an appearance! These two caused quite a stir amongst the guests, who were all clamouring to have a picture with them. Even I managed to make a fuss of them, and Wing took my picture too! It was great to get the pooches involved in Maddy & Emma’s portraits. If you’re thinking of bringing your dogs to your wedding, I would really recommend it for the cute pics!

As you can see, Maddy & Emma had a ball at their wedding and I loved all the colourful details that they chose for their big day. Wing

and I had an awesome time celebrating with you, congratulations!

Here’s what Maddy had to say about her and Emma’s experience…

“Cass was amazing from initial contact, to the wedding day, right through to delivering our virtual gallery of images. She is a true professional, she captured our wedding day perfectly and we have images we will treasure for a life time. Cass had a relaxed style which made us both feel so much more comfortable. Many of our guests commented on her professional and approachable manner. Thanks Cass for going above and beyond (even sitting on a nettle bush!) to deliver the best shots! Would recommend in a heartbeat.”
