Tom & Fiona tied the knot in May at stunning venue Le Petit Moulin in the pretty village of Annepont, France. Their friends and family joined them over the bank holiday to see them say ‘I do’ and it was great to get to know everyone by spending the weekend together.
Tom & Fiona had planned a vintage wedding with pastel paper pom-poms, pearls and rustic flowers by Ellerymay Florist decorating the marquee at Le Petit Moulin. They had also thrown in little French touches to bring everything together, for example using French footballers names for their table plan (how clever!). Fiona had her dress custom made by her talented friend and was pampered on the day by Carey Hawkins make-up artist (who was also fabulous at helping me with photographs later in the day).
The ceremony at Le Petit Moulin was conducted by Sandie Smith Celebrant, who coped brilliantly with the rain and didn’t mind being under a brolly at all! Tom & Fiona chose a hand fasting ceremony, which made for some lovely colourful pictures. Guitarist George Simpson played beautifully during the ceremony and entertained the guests into the evening reception too.
People often ask me ‘what happens if it rains at a wedding?’. And the answer is it doesn’t spoil your day. In Tom & Fiona’s case it really added to the atmosphere and I just love the shots of the guests having fun under their brollies. Just look at how romantic rain can be in the shot above too!
Congratulations Mr & Mrs Anderson! Here’s your day…
