Colourful Barn Wedding Photos

By 25/04/2024No Comments

These colourful barn wedding photos have it all! A dreamy countryside setting, top-notch summer weather, chilled out vibes… Plus tractor rides, flower grannies and burritos… And, most importantly, a guest appearance from the couple’s cat! It’s fair to say myself and my second photographer Imogen were in our element capturing Tabby and Joe’s big day!

Joe and Tabby wanted to do their day their way, planning an informal wedding that suited them down to a tee. They decided to hold their wedding at Tabby’s family home, which just so happens to be on a farm. They had the vision of clearing out the barn ready to hold the wedding there, they just needed to make it happen! And with the rolling countryside all around, no wonder they saw the potential for a hosting their colourful barn wedding at home.

It takes so much hard work to make a DIY farm wedding happen. I’m sure it was real team effort to make Tabby and Joe’s rustic wedding ideas into a reality. It was truly impressive how many colourful details and personal touches had been incorporated into their wedding.

From the beautiful draping and colourful ribbons decorating the barn, to using pictures of their pets to decorate their wedding cake… Tabby and Joe had thought of it all. Not only did it all look amazing, it also reflected them as a couple so well!

Tabby and Joe chose an informal wedding ceremony in keeping with the vibe of their day. The procession down the aisle began with their grandmothers throwing petals as they went, which was so heartwarming and fun. The flower grannies brought a smile to everyone’s faces!

Emily the Celebrant led them in their wedding vows, making the ceremony wonderfully personalised to them as a couple. Once they had said ‘I do’, Tabby and Joe walked down the aisle to a proper confetti pelting!

Pet Friendly Wedding

Regular readers of my blog will know I can’t get enough of pets at weddings! I have been waiting 13 years for a couple to bring their cat to their wedding, and Tabby and Joe finally granted my wish! Their feline bestie Chonk made an (understandably) massive impression on me when he joined us for some snaps… What a big boy!

Tabby and Joe’s dog Olive also put in an fabulous performance holding Tabby’s bouquet on demand! It was such a joy to prioritise photos with Joe and Tabby’s pets at their wedding. After all, our pets are such an important part of our home lives. It makes total sense for them to play a starring role at your wedding too.

It was brilliant to explore the fields surrounding the farm for rustic wedding photos with Tabby and Joe. The light later in the evening was awesome and we could have shot there all day! But.. street food from the Sabroso Street truck was awaiting!

Serving delicious street food at your wedding is a great way to make things more informal. Me and Imogen were so content stuffing burritos into our faces whilst looking out over the countryside. Absolute lunch break goals!

Informal Wedding Photographer

Here’s what Tabby had to say about her and Joe’s experience with me as their informal wedding photographer… Thank you so much for your kind words, I had a blast!

‘Booking Cass as our wedding photographer was the best decision we made. Cass’s communication, professionalism, and the incredible quality of her work made the entire process from start to finish seamless and easy.

She effortlessly captured our special moments, and as people who aren’t used to being in front of a camera she made it incredibly comfortable, like we were just having a great time with a friend.

The photos we received were absolutely fantastic and we genuinely treasure each image and will cherish them forever. Everyone who has seen our photos has been amazed at how wonderfully vibrant and fun they are.

If you’re looking for a photographer who goes above and beyond, capturing the essence of your special day with creativity and skill, book Cass without hesitation. You won’t regret it.

Thank you, Cass, for giving us incredible memories that will last a lifetime!’
