Castle View Stables Wedding Photography
Katharine & Jonathan’s Castle View Stables wedding took place in May. It was my first proper full day wedding coverage since September and it was great to be back! Like many of my couples, these two had postponed from 2020 and had decided to scale back their wedding plans in line with current restrictions. This meant there were a smaller number of guests in attendance, but let me tell you, it was no less fun!
Jonathan & Katharine’s big day was a proper country wedding day affair in Leicestershire. After all the rain we’d had in the lead up, everything was looking beautifully green on the day. It was a pleasure to be out and about enjoying the countryside and getting muddy feet at a wedding again!
The couple were married by the lovely vicar at St. Giles Church near Kettering. It was great to hear live music back, with Katharine & Jonathan’s friends and family taking on musician duties during the ceremony. They streamed the service to their friends and family who couldn’t attend, which was a lovely touch for those that couldn’t make it in person.
Colourful Wedding Castle View Stables
We then headed to Castle View Farm & Stables for the reception. This was a new wedding venue to me and it was brilliant to explore it! It’s nestled in the countryside, with rolling fields all around and great views from the large balcony. A short walk across the fields brings you to a cultivated woodland, which was gorgeous for Katharine & Jonathan’s natural wedding photographs. Chickens and peacocks roam around to entertain your guests too!
After the way the past year has been, it was wonderful to see Jonathan & Katharine and their guests enjoying themselves! There were so many happy, smiley moments to capture. Plus the return of the dance floor – hooray! It was brilliant to catch up with and witness Katie & Paul in action on the dance floor again (I did their wedding photographs a few years back…) I don’t think I’ve ever seen such wild moves to an acoustic set!
Big thanks to Katharine & Jonathan for having me along and congratulations!
