I’m delighted to share Sarah & Joe’s wedding with you today. These two were married back in February at central Manchester venue Great John Street Hotel and had planned a relaxed retro wedding for their close friends and family. It was a beautifully crisp winters day, making Great John St. the perfect venue since it has a lovely rooftop terrace for taking in the Manchester skyline whilst sipping on a Prosecco.
We started the day getting ready in one of the suites at the hotel with Sarah’s mum, her bridesmaid and bridesman. We were all excited to see Sarah unwrap her Alice in Wonderland inspired paper flower bouquet and even more excited when Sarah put on her vintage dress from The Case of the Curious Bride. I just loved the short 1950s style dress and the red petticoat, which was super fun for twirling!
The ceremony took place at Great John St. and Sarah & Joe walked out down the aisle to The Jesus and Mary Chain’s Just Like Honey (an excellent choice in my opinion!). Whilst the guests were having drinks, we went for a wander around MOSI and Castlefield for portraits, just a stones throw from the hotel. The light was stunning and there were lots of people about offering their congratulations to Sarah & Joe, which is always very sweet.
Although I didn’t stay until the evening, a little bird told me DJ Andy Murphy was playing some top tunes later in the night including the theme from Star Wars for the first dance!
Thank you Sarah & Joe for having me to capture your day x
