Gerrie & Peter’s wedding at Eleven Didsbury Park & Didsbury House Hotel was relaxed and laid back. Just like them as a couple. The venues are a few doors apart, so Peter & Gerrie had their ceremony at Didsbury House Hotel. Then the guests went back to Eleven Didsbury Park for drinks whilst we nipped down the road to Fletcher Moss Park.
After a week of typical Manchester weather, Fletcher Moss was pretty muddy. I have to hand it to Gerrie for navigating all the puddles in her killer heels! Her efforts paid off because we benefitted from shooting in the softest golden Feburary light. This line of trees must be the most photographed in Didsbury and easy to see why because they are beautiful. And as you can see, I’m experimenting more and more with reflected light which gave some interesting results in the sunshine.
We got back to Eleven Didsbury Park in time for afternoon tea (I have to say the scones were top notch!) Then the house party continued with Mario Cart, dancing, drinking and speeches. A particularly lovely moment was when Peter’s Best Man & young Nephew gave a speech (you can see him being congratulated by his Grandma in one of the photos below).
